- Thanks for the analysis @Kutchkutch:. So we can conclude:
- gāvṭhī is not from a "similar formation" and is instead from grāmastha.
- It can hardly be determined what the actual source of the -वटी component is.
- रानटी is not a simplification of रानवटी; instead they may have followed different formations, because of the fact that the former is present in Marathi as well but the latter is unheard of in Marathi. -- 𝓑𝓱𝓪𝓰𝓪𝓭𝓪𝓽𝓽𝓪(𝓽𝓪𝓵𝓴) 01:58, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
