Why was my definition dealeated because it was bilingual?!? I was just trying to help since most people who search for something like '马来西亞' probly have some idea of Chinese anyway. — This comment was unsigned.

This is the English Wiktionary, which we are writing for English speaking readers. The equivalent entry on zh: will be for Chinese speakers. --Connel MacKenzie 18:55, 1 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

I see the etymology you provided has been removed... I guess the reason is that it's unnecessary because people can click on the component characters in the box on the right if they want to know what they mean - also these characters are just being used for the sound, not the meaning. You can add an example sentence, showing the use of the word, with the translation into English. I put the etymology back, it shouldn't have been removed, just formatted. The dual use of is not obvious. Robert Ullmann 05:30, 2 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
