Can someone explain how this is borrowed from Russian? Isn't it just transcribed? I think this is the case for many articles saying "borrowed" (at least from Russian). The list of English words borrowed from Russian is even more cluttered with these words and it makes it harder to find actually borrowed words in this list. Maybe I just got the definition of "borrowed" wrong.
