Unclear wording

edit

The entry contains:

”a sharp-edged frame on which the suspect's feet were weighed down”

This text can easily (or must?) be interpreted as:

”a sharp-edged frame on which the suspect's feet were placed and (then) weighed down”

so I understood it as a torturing tool that hurt the victim’s feet.

Only by consulting other sources did I understand that the victim was to sit on the edge. Therefore I propose changing the text to:

”a sharp-edged frame on which a suspect was sat with their legs on either side and with their feet weighed down”

or similar. Any motivated objections?Redav (talk) 18:48, 6 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
