In the coda /nʃ/ is always [nt͡ʃ] in German. Same with /ns/, /ls/, etc.; thus Gans and ganz are homophones. Outside the coda the plosive may be lost, but there is still generally no phonemic distinction; thus Grenze is [gʁɛnt͡sə] or less often [gʁɛnsə].
