Shouldn’t this be borrowed from French, rather than simply cognate? It makes far more sense for a cultural/colloquial loanword in German to be borrowed from contemporary French rather than Latin. GabeMoore (talk) 20:32, 19 January 2020 (UTC)

German pronunciation

Doesn't one of the possible pronunciations use a palatalized t? I'm not a native speaker but that's what it sounds to me. I don't see that reflected in the phonetics here at the moment. FekkeB (talk) 09:29, 14 July 2024 (UTC)
