I don't think "actualize" is even an English word. In my experience from Romance language speakers this mistake is quite common when the speaker is not aware the word they really want is something like update. — 203.222.154.2 15:37, 8 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Yes. If we take actual to mean "current" (as it does in Spanish) then naturally actualize would be to make current, to bring up to date. Which is what actualizar means in Spanish. However it also means realize (as in, to make real, to put into action), so the existing definition, although not as common, should stay.
