- Back in 2010 when the year was inserted, it was probably taken from a source like Online Etymology Dictionary or Merriam-Webster (though without attribution). FWIW, Oxford English Dictionary gives a citation from as early as 1532, which is now the year given by Merriam-Webster too, but there might have been a change in the meanwhile. --Florian Blaschke (talk) 23:50, 21 February 2024 (UTC)
