Rfv-sense: "(British, slang) fancy or good-looking, without the same connotations of snobbery or pretentiousness as in sense 1." Seems to me that this is strictly American so I'm not really buying this definition. --Robbie SWE (talk) 14:27, 19 October 2019 (UTC)
- This is probably not durably archived, and the source is India-based, where Indian English is closer to British English but not quite identical, but in any case, on this page bougie is used in an apparently positive sense. And here is a Canadian positive use. This article in the Canadian newspaper The Globe and Mail expounds how the term has gone from being dismissive to ”a more general sense as shorthand for bourgeois”, “a bourgeois individual, someone who is comfortable in the middle class and proud of his achievements”. --Lambiam 12:00, 20 October 2019 (UTC)
