Etymology 2 is given as "Borrowed from French émission." and qualified as "non-native speakers' English." Isn't "non-native speakers' English" a contradiction? It's either English or it isn't. The statement is akin to saying "non-English English." If it's dialectical, or specific to a region or group, surely that can be indicated. Whatever the case, in making note of misuses of a term, perhaps should remain in Talk as "faux-amis," even if the use is common by a "non-native" or pidgin. 130.62.70.194 11:28, 9 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
