Then the etymology should say "-géésh (“imperfective verb stem for 'cut'”) instead of -géésh (“imperfective verb stem”). 71.66.97.228 22:11, 30 May 2011 (UTC)
- The verb means cuts it out and this is the only verb stem that the verb has. -géésh by itself doesn’t mean anything, the meaning being carried by the lexical prefix ha- and the verb stem together. Besides, -géésh is only the imperfective stem. The perfective stem is -gizh and the future stem is -gish. It is enough to say that haiłgéésh means he is cutting it out, and that -géésh is the imperfective stem. —Stephen (Talk) 02:31, 31 May 2011 (UTC)
