Ice Cream Meaning

I’ve just this second finished watching the second part of the TV series ‘The Real Peaky Blinders’ on BBC2 and they mention there that ‘hokeypokey man’ was a term in the 1920s meaning ‘ice cream vendor’, no doubt this stems from ‘hokeypokey’ being ‘honeycomb ice cream’.
