Improper usage

edit

This is an improper usage. It is not found in any published dictionary and is very awkward to even pronounce. "Incidents" is the plural of "incident," but "incidence" has no plural form.

The plural is indeed awkward to pronounce, but it is used. The fact that other dictionaries are deficient does not require Wiktionary to be equally deficient. The word does exist and is used, particularly in the technical literature, regardless of the shortcomings of the dictionaries you've examined. --EncycloPetey 04:48, 30 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
I have added a usage note. DAVilla 14:26, 18 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

There is no plural for the word incidence! It's NEVER "incidences!" This is an often confused word. The word "incident" has a plural, just add an s.
