Is this correct?: negative imperative of kıymak MhmtÖ (talk) 03:34, 23 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

I have no understanding of Turkish, but I think it should be second-person (plural?) and not third-person if the conjugation table at kıymak is right. 98.170.164.88 03:44, 23 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
You are right, i totally missed that. It must be second-person plural. I should have elaborated more on that i was trying to check my understanding of English, is there a difference between "negative imperative" and "imperative negative" for you? MhmtÖ (talk) 03:57, 23 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
I'd say that "negative imperative" sounds better. You can parse it as "negative" (adjective) + "imperative" (noun), and adjectives precede nouns. Even if both words are parsed as adjectives modifying another noun, e.g. "negative imperative form", I'd keep them in that order since it sounds more natural, but it's harder to explain why. 98.170.164.88 04:12, 23 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
