In series 1 Episode 2 of ‘Prison Break’, a prison guard says “I’ve seen your kicks inmate, you’ve got 40 cents to your name”, so it seems to have a slang meaning, namely ‘the balance on a commissary account’. Overlordnat1 (talk) 01:50, 30 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

It can also just mean ‘commissary’, as another sentence from ‘Prison Break’ is “He puts a hundred bucks in your kicks each week. I’ve now updated our entry. Overlordnat1 (talk) 01:04, 1 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
