In the modern hungarian language oláh (as shorthand for oláhcigány) can also mean a gipsy of wallachian immigrant origin. (Sometimes this is used to differentiate between the "romungro" gipsy tribes who came in to Hungary during the 14-17th centuries and became socially integrated musicians or coppersmiths, versus the "oláhcigányok" who came in during the 19th century and are now engaged in prevalent criminality and mass production of kids to obtain gov't stipends and unemployment money.) 195.184.22.129 18:58, 9 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
