I believe the Quagga is now extinct and has been reclassified as a species of zebra. This might affect the defs. — Hippietrail 09:10, 17 Jul 2004 (UTC)

changed the definition

I've always known a quagga to be a subspecies of Zebra. A quick internet search confirms this. I've changed the definition accordingly. Raichu2 28 Nov 2006

Is quagga an alternative spelling of the Afrikaans word kwagga? "Pharos Afrikaans-English/Eglish-Afrikaans" and "Prisma Afrikaans en Nederlands" both only mention kwagga. Caudex Rax (talk) 06:29, 20 December 2012 (UTC)
