Talk:recurrence
Latest comment: 17 years ago by Connel MacKenzie
In a scientific paper - written by a non-native speaker - I found "recurrence" used in the word "three-term recurrence" in connection with the definition of Chebyshev polynomials. I wonder if this is possible since I expected here "recursion" instead of "recurrence". So my question to the experts is whether "three-term recurrence" is the common expression. — This comment was unsigned.
- This might meet more eyes in WT:ID. Looking at this vs. this, I'm left wondering how to search would groupings more closely.
- The exmaples above seem to indicate the use of recurrence formulas to solve the problems, but I haven't studied it in depth, myself. Perhaps you could try asking at w:Talk:Chebyshev polynomials? --Connel MacKenzie 03:32, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
