I have had a little confusion with the correct pronunciation for "scales"
As in - "She threw the bathroom scale (or scales?) at me?"
Any comments?

See this Google N-gram. Sometime in the late 70s/early 80s, "bathroom scale" began to outpace "bathroom scales". 165.225.9.20 19:08, 26 March 2021 (UTC)
