An alternative interpretation

I'm relatively sure that the proverb (or is it just the name of Salama's book?) has a less mundane meaning, namely: To see, understand how something really is you have to get involved. It's also worth noting that the title of the book in the Sewdish translation (Kommer upp i tö) is a reference to a proverb with a similar meaning (det som göms i snö kommer upp i tö). — SURJECTION ^{/ T / C / L /} 14:01, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
