The adjective might actually spawn a separate article, truck patch. I also wonder if this sense is actually part of etymology 1. The garden sense seems related to things that are carted or hauled from a garden after harvest.

- No, it comes from the sense of ‘commodities for barter’, from the verb truck = trade, exchange. I have reordered things to try and make that more clear. Widsith 08:12, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
Truck as a verb edit
There was also a dance style (around 1930) called Truckin' [[1]]. While song titles like "Let's Get Drunk and Truck" refer to that dance, it is also clearly a substitute for a similiar sounding f-word... -- 2003:E5:1718:25B9:2456:C702:3D0D:1284 08:40, 4 September 2022 (UTC)
