Removal of "slow progression or build-up"

Regarding my removal and replacement of the definition "turtling n. (figuratively) Any slow progression or build-up.", a look at the edit history shows that the entry began as a computer gaming term describing a defensive computer gaming strategy, but the (poor, imo) attempt to replace the computer gaming definition with a general figurative term removed both the comp. gaming origin and the defensive strategy idea.

Further it's just mischaracterizing the concept; the essense of turtling is in the concept that the player is "acting like a turtle", i.e. pulling in their limbs and eyes (withdrawing units and (usually) accepting the disadvantage of curtailed vision), either to focus on something else (like resource gathering or unit production) or simply to stay out of the fight. It's correct to say "turtling can be used for the purpose of focusing on slow progression or build-up" (as well as other purposes), but that's not the same as saying it is slow progression or build-up.

also, usage of the term as a verb is valid and common, so imo should be reintroduced to the entry. Flj529 02:27, 11 April 2010 (UTC)

I'm assuming the verb is (deprecated template usage) turtle, not turtling, otherwise it would be I have been turtlinging which is wrong! For the other definition, you want {{rfv-sense}} (no, I've never heard of that either). Mglovesfun (talk) 09:25, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
