I don't think the term "the fact of having no job" describes unemployment well. (It seems to describe the adj. unemployed). The desciption should work with a sentence like: "The Unemployment is on rise. ?! Henryk911 20:16 May 12, 2003 (UTC)
Possible Etymology?
