Usage
editThis template may be used in Wiktionary entries to format quotations from John Vanbrugh's work The Relapse (1st edition, 1697). It can be used to create a link to an online version of the work at Google Books (archived at the Internet Archive).
Parameters
editThe template takes the following parameters:
|chapter=– if quoting from one of the chapters indicated in the second column of the following table, give the parameter the value indicated in the first column:

- As the preface is unpaginated, use
|2=or|page=to specify the "page number" assigned by Google Books to the URL of the webpage to be linked to. For example, if the URL ishttps://books.google.com/books?id=P-9oAAAAcAAJ&pg=PP13, specify|page=13. (The first prologue and prologue on the third day are also unpaginated, but the template can determine the URL to link to. The epilogue is paginated.)
|1=or|scene=– mandatory in some cases: the scene number quoted from in lowercase Roman numerals. As the scenes are not numbered in the work, look them up in this 1893 version of the work entitled Sir John Vanbrugh edited by W. C. Ward. This parameter may be omitted if quoting from Act II as it consists of only one scene; the template will indicate "scene i".|2=or|page=, or|pages=– mandatory: the page number(s) quoted from. When quoting a range of pages, note the following:- Separate the first and last pages of the range with an en dash, like this:

This indicates that the quotation either contains a mere mention of a term (for example, "some people find the word manoeuvre hard to spell") rather than an actual use of it (for example, "we need to manoeuvre carefully to avoid causing upset"), or does not provide an actual instance of a term but provides information about related terms.
