Usage notes edit
This paradigm matches Faroese words like dyr (“door”), which have an umlauted y in all forms except the dative and genitive and only exist in the plural. (Most likely, dyr is the only example for this class.)
- d (first part of the stem)
- y (stem vowel)
- r (last part of the stem)
- u (umlaut)
