Template:rfap/documentation

{{request for audio pronunciation}} (alias {{rfap}}) is used to request that an audio file be added to an entry.

Usage

This template should be used on an entry page under the ===Pronunciation=== header.

Parameters

|1= (required)

The language code of the term needing audio pronunciation. See Wiktionary:List of languages.

|2=

An optional comment to be displayed in the request message.

|inline=1

Display the message inline instead of in a box.

|variety=

An optional language variety, such as UK or US, for categorization purposes (see below).

|sort=

The sort key for the page; rarely needs to be specified.

|nocat=1

Disable categorization of this page.

This template adds the page to the following categories (where LANG is the language whose code is specified using |1=):

• Category:Requests for audio pronunciation in LANG entries
• Category:Requests for audio pronunciation from VARIETY in LANG entries (if |variety= is given)
• Category:rfap with variety (if |variety= is given; applies to all namespaces)
