This template generates a numbered link to a specific sense. This can be useful in image captions on entries with many sense lines.

Note: in preview mode, this may display an error message, especially if you are creating a new page or the {{senseid}} is not already present in the last saved revision of the existing page. This is normal and is just an unavoidable consequence of the template's implementation.

Parameters edit

|1= (required)
The language code (see Wiktionary:Languages) of the current language section.
|2= (required)
The ID that has been assigned with {{senseid}}.
|3=- (optional)
If set to -, this will suppress the word "sense" from appearing before the link.
|uc= (optional)
If given any value at all (e.g., yes), this will capitalize the first letter of the word "sense".
|title= (optional)
The title of the entry. Not to be included in the vast majority of cases.
