editTo elaborate on the recent edit - I noticed the wikimedia data dumps https://dumps.wikimedia.org/enwiktionary/latest/ aren't correctly parsing out the name of the template being used. Instead of "aii-infl-noun-m" it's saying "aii-infl-noun\n".
I think this may because of the line break following the title, hence the change. If that's not the case I will revert this edit, otherwise I will make a similar change to all the other noun inflection templates. Please note it will probably take some time to generate a new data dump https://dumps.wikimedia.org/enwiktionary/ so we won't know the results of this change for a while. - Shlama @Antonklroberts
- When I take a look at the downloadable aii wiktionary data dump https://kaikki.org/dictionary/Assyrian%20Neo-Aramaic/index.html, the template names for verbs are correct but the template names for nouns and most prepositions are incomplete.
- For example a verb like ܪܵܚܹܛ (rāḥēṭ) is shown as belonging to
aii-conj-verb/A1
but a preposition like ܓܵܘ (gāw) is shown as belonging toaii-infl-prep
instead ofaii-infl-prep/1
. Similarly nouns are shown as belonging to eitheraii-infl-noun\n
,aii-infl-noun
oraii-infl-noun-unc\n
instead of something likeaii-infl-noun-m
- It's hard for me to tell if this is something that can be fixed in the template itself or if it's an issue with the software that is actually parsing the wiktionary data dump https://github.com/tatuylonen/wiktextract - do you have any insight into what's going on? - Not sure if this helps but I just noticed that the full template name is showing for the following prepositions
- Template:aii-infl-prep/bi
- Template:aii-infl-prep/il
- Template:aii-infl-prep/it
- Template:aii-infl-prep/layt
- but not prepositions which inherit from aii-infl-prep ColumbaBush (talk) 03:33, 11 November 2023 (UTC)
