Template talk:sectstub
Documentation
editThis template should not be used directly.
To request a definition, please use either {{rfdef}}
or {{defn}}
.
This template is used on preloaded entry templates, such as {{new en noun}}
, and places entries which have not been filled in Category:Section stubs, where they can be filed into a proper cleanup category, or deleted if the entry is invalid (and the submitter simply did not fill it in).
Discussion
editNever used
editI should probably point out that this is almost never used, apart from on preload templates where theoretically it should always be removed. The category section stubs currently only contains templates. Mglovesfun (talk) 10:59, 11 February 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks! I’ve flagged that in the documentation.

Pointless. Most definitions I've seen on Wiktionary are "stubs" anyway. We have {{rfdef}}
or {{rfc}}
to cover such situations. TeleComNasSprVen 00:34, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
- I'm pretty sure this isn't actually supposed to be used in entries. It can be useful in appendices, help pages, and project pages. --Yair rand 01:20, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
- It's used by the preload templates like
{{new en noun}}
. For this reason, it can be handy for finding newbie mistakes, even if it's not intended that way. Mglovesfun (talk) 09:59, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
- It's used by the preload templates like
keep useful for Appendices. -- Liliana • 19:28, 23 November 2011 (UTC)
