is imo not a good choice, since it is conventionally considered to lack a superlative form *färst. In the same way, the listed forms *smärst and *smärsta is unknown to me.--sanna 15:05, 15 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

"Färst" is debatable whether it should be used in modern Swedish. However that should be discussed in the "Usage notes". As for "smärst" and "smärsta" they are not used in modern Swedish that I know of. I have seen them in song by w:Bellman and in some other text as well. Same here it should meantioned in the "Usage notes". I just used them as an example of something that was very irregular. --Patrik Stridvall 18:07, 15 February 2006 (UTC)Reply
Here's an answer from DN's language consultant Catharina Grünbaum on this issue [1]. I think it should be mentioned under "Usage notes", but it should not be in the tables, because it doesn't seem to be used in real texts or even in colloquial language. I don't think I've ever heard it used even ironically. The only Google hits for it are from discussions about the form itself, not actual usage.
Sanna is quite right that it's inappropriate to use an exception as an model example, though. It should be replaced with something less exotic.

I have now removed those doubtful forms. \Mike 16:17, 14 March 2006 (UTC)Reply
My guess is that "smärst" have transformed into "smärt" and taken a slightly different meaning. It is entirely possible that the "smärst" I saw was a misspelling (or a misreading by me) of "smärt". SOAB is not sure about the orgin of that word. --Patrik Stridvall 17:48, 14 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

The template fails to show the correct definite plural form of words like "liten"

edit

If we look at the table here, we will draw the conclusion that the definite plural form of "liten" is "lilla" because that is what's put under "Definite" "All".

Should there be a separate row for the definite plural form? Otherwise if the definite plural form and the indefinite plural form are always the same, the "Plural" row should be moved out of the "Indefinite" group and the title of that row should be changed to "Plural Both" or something else that shows it is both for the definite and the indefinite.

Another question is the doc just says "write liten|litet|lille|lilla|små|mindre|minste|minsta|minsta|minst" without stating the order in which the forms should be written. Is the order really that obvious to native speakers? For instance there are two "minsta"s in the code but only one in the table. I can't think of why there are two of them.

I'm just a learner of Swedish. If these are silly questions, please point out but please don't laugh at me too hard. Thanks.
