About me

edit

Welcome to my page. I’m a native Hindustani speaker who’s versed in both Nastaliq and Devanagari scripts. I enjoy studying historical linguistics, and especially phonology and phonetics. My focus is typically on IPA, pronunciation, and fixing errors on pages. I study phonology and phonetics quite a bit, so I know what I’m doing when I make edits.

Currently, I’m working on a “Pure Hindi” dictionary (not to be confused with “Śuddh Hindī”) or wordbook should I say (akin to Anglish), where I’m recording all tadbhava and also revitalising old ones that wouldn’t have been displaced had Āryāvarta not been invaded by culturally Perso-Arabic entities. I’m also making a chart for observed phonological changes that took place from the time of Veda’s to modern Hindi. Other than that, I’m sort of making a conlang similar to the Sino-Xenic languages, for experiment and entertainment purposes.
