I'm a little vague on the purpose of the user page. If I'm omitting something or neglecting to use a required template, sorry, please let me know.

I use Wikimedia sites a great deal, and wish I had the time to contribute more. I love language and can be fairly meticulous — same as everyone here, I guess. I certainly devote most of my energy to my native English, but other languages I've dabbled in are Spanish, Icelandic, Japanese, French and Classical Greek.

I teach maths, stats & computing at a university in Sydney. I have spent nearly equal fractions of my life living in Massachusetts, New Zealand and Australia. I'm an enthusiastic amateur musician & songwriter.
