About me
I've been a Wikimedian since 2004, under the user name notafish. I have worked in the wine business, Communication and Event Management, as well as been a trainer in Intercultural Communication. While I have started by editing the Wikimedia projects, I have always been a Wiki*m*edian at heart, and always been interested in the development of the Wikimedia organisations. I am dedicated to our mission and our values, of course. Over 15+ years, I have constantly been amazed by the range of fantastic people that I have crossed paths with, whether volunteers, staff or partners. All this to say, I'm really in it for the people.
My work
I joined the Wikimedia Foundation in 2016. I worked first as a Program Officer at the Foundation to support the Annual Plan Grants process, working mainly with the FDC and participating affiliates. As of June 2018, I also started working as the strategy liaison for the Wikimedia Foundation, responsible for monitoring alignment and cooperation between the movement strategy process and the strategy work at the organizational level in the Wikimedia Foundation.
In March 2020, I joined the Talent & Culture Department (HR) to work on onboarding my fellow staff members at the Foundation to the organization and the movement, work on HR Operations, change management and staff experience. I left the Foundation in May 2022.
Disclaimer: I work for or provide services to the Wikimedia Foundation, and this is the account I try to use for edits or statements I make in that role. However, the Foundation does not vet all my activity, so edits, statements, or other contributions made by this account may not reflect the views of the Foundation.
