Hiya
I'm a Danish guy in his fourties who's enthusiastic about linguistics, phonetics and grammar and languages in general, but specifically so-called "Classical" and dead languages of Europe and the Near East.
My native language is Danish, and I understand the other Scandinavian languages reasonably well, excepting Icelandic with which I have a somewhat more troubled relationship. I have a particular interest in Faroese. I also speak English and a smattering of German. Moreover, I've studied some Italian, Latin, Biblical Hebrew, Sanskrit, Middle Egyptian, Coptic, Sumerian, Akkadian and a hodgepodge of additional dead languages.
