Wiktionary:WikiProject Check Wikipedia/Translation edit

What is this? Keφr 10:26, 27 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Keφr, it is something wonderful, magical and full of stars :)
It's part of Check Wikipedia, a tool to find syntax mistakes. It has been running for several years against enwiktionary dump files. The interface for enwikitionary is located here. The translation file controls what errors are run, what level the errors are (low, medium, high) and the description given about the errors. WPCleaner also uses the translation file.
enwiktionary had been running against old, old defaults. Adding the translation file gives it new defaults, but more importantly, a way for people in enwiktionary to edit the defaults to suit them. You can turn on or off any errors that should be checked. People at svwiktionary have helped me fix some problems that are particular to dictionary sites. For example, the first letter in a title can be lower or uppercase and point to two different articles, unlike the encyclopedia sites.
Feel free to edit the translation file. If you have questions, give me a yell. Bgwhite (talk) 18:28, 27 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
