Transwiki edit

Please use the established transwiki procedure [1] rather than copying and pasting from another wiki. --EncycloPetey 06:17, 2 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

User:Goldenrowley has probably handled more of our Transwikis than anyone recently, and may be able to help. The problems are (1) That you're transferring only part of a page, which is always tricky, and (2) If the page is going to be about the Greek name, then the pagename needs to be Greek. User:Saltmarsh or User:Atelaes could help with that. --EncycloPetey 06:39, 2 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Transwiki edit

So the proper procedure for a transwiki is to tag the 'pedia article with Template:CopytoWiktionary and then wait a day or two for a bot to do it. This allows us to transfer the edit history intact. I have tagged the 'pedia article, and deleted your Wiktionary copies. The entry should be arriving shortly. Sorry that there was so much confusion over this. -Atelaes λάλει ἐμοί 14:03, 2 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Since the bot is apparently down, I figured out how to do it manually. Transwiki:Photios is now up and running. I'll start working on it shortly. Feel free to pitch in if and when you like. -Atelaes λάλει ἐμοί 01:02, 3 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
