Some entries for single characters are redirected because they are an alternate typography, appearance or simply the same character under a different codepoint. Usually, in the main entry, multiple character boxes ({{character info}}) to account for the separate codepoints.

Approved redirected characters edit

  • Halfwidth and fullwidth characters are redirected to their normal counterparts.[1]
  • Some codepoints for specific digraphs are redirected to their two-character versions:
    IJ, ij, DŽ, Dž, dž, LJ, Lj, lj, NJ, Nj, nj, DZ, Dz, dz.[2]
  • Combining characters in the category "nonspacing mark" (Mn) are redirected to their non-combining versions when possible.[3]
