I see no reason why we should allow newly registered users to have the ability to move pages. We could reduce page move vandalism if we do like Wikipedia and require that ability to be activated 96 hours after account creation (i.e. when the user is "autoconfirmed" and can edit semi-protected pages). — Vildricianus 21:16, 12 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I would have no objection to this if everyone registered accounts. Anons shouldn't be punished for their anonymity, we have had several great anon translators come through, and the idea isn't to force people to register, they should be free to edit anonymously if they choose to. - TheDaveRoss 21:30, 12 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Right now unregestered users can't move pages, so it doesn't change anything for them. But if they register, they can move page immediately... I think it would be a good thing to change that. - Dakdada 22:18, 12 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I saw Brion in #wiktionary, pestered him about it, and he set it. I just tested it with User:TestMovesConfirmed and the new account is not able to move pages. --Connel MacKenzie T C 07:03, 16 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
