Location of the usage notes header

It has always been our practice to put the the ===Usage notes=== header immediately after the definitions if there is no inflected forms section or after the inflected forms section (===Conjugation===, ===Declension===, ===Inflection===, etc.), which is itself immediately after the definitions. So I don't know where you got that it can be "placed anywhere appropriate". I suggest we fix this and cancel and restart the vote. And how about we don't start any more of these normalization votes until at least one other editor has looked at it and approved. --WikiTiki89 17:02, 22 December 2015 (UTC)

That's too much bureucracy IMO. If my votes (or normalization votes by any other person) had been rife with mistakes when they started I'd understand that, but that's just one thing wrong that can be fixed. I agree with your idea of restarting the vote without that wrong sentence, I was already thinking of doing it after Talking Point noticed it.

To answer the "I don't know where you got that":

That information is actually in the current WT:EL (revision). I did not try to introduce a new practice, I just rewrote the section while keeping the information that was already there.

• "This section, whether identified by a heading or indent level may come anywhere."
• "Usage notes[19] (can be placed anywhere appropriate)"

Placing usage notes "anywhere appropriate" seems to have been allowed in 2007. (WT:EL is that much out of date) That sentence has been actually voted and approved at Wiktionary:Votes/pl-2007-06/ELE level 4 header sequence.

If I recall correctly, most of your votes did have things wrong with them, even they weren't wrong enough for people to oppose them outright. I don't mean to make it bureaucratic, I'm just suggesting that you hold off on explicitly starting the vote until someone comments. Feel free to even ping people on the talk page saying that you are about to start the vote and just need some quick feedback. --WikiTiki89 18:03, 22 December 2015 (UTC)

Oh, then it's OK. I'll have that in mind, thanks for the suggestion. Some of the votes that I created recently have been edited/revised by other people or I edited them myself based on comments in the talk page. I moved the old vote to Wiktionary:Votes/pl-2015-12/Usage notes/old, which had the wrong sentence: "The "Usage notes" heading can be placed anywhere appropriate."
