Yerba Buena

  1. (historical) A Spanish settlement founded on the 29th of June, 1776 near the northeastern end of the San Francisco Peninsula, California; captured by United States forces during the Mexican–American War, it was renamed San Francisco on the 30th of January, 1847.
  2. A city and department of Tucumán, in northern Argentina.
