Verb edit

airstruck

  1. (rare) simple past and past participle of airstrike

Usage notes edit

As with the base form strike, the past tense of the verb airstrike is often avoided by rewording the sentence. Thus one can say

Magalahīs airstruck the major cities of Iremim.
Magalahīs airstriked the major cities of Iremim.
Magalahīs launched airstrikes at the major cities of Iremim.

Where the last sentence is wordier, but much less likely to draw criticism.
