anasynthesis (uncountable)

  1. A problem solving approach that consists of analysis and synthesis, often also including modeling and simulation.
    • 1973, Introduction to the Systems Approach, page 26:
Anasynthesis is at least equivalent to the process inherent in the worn phrase "systems approach" and for many individuals is considerably more encompassing and the process more rigorous.
    • 1978, Kjell Samuelson, Informatics by General Systems and Cybernetics, page 246:
Depending on the context, the phase lengths and time range one shall also find that the P-function overlaps the turning point of anasynthesis; quite logical though, since it associates the past, present and future.
    • 2006, Pedro Pedraza, ‎Melissa Rivera, Latino Education: An Agenda for Community Action Research, page 420:
On the basis of the anasynthesis, a conceptual representation (concept model) of the social situation is made.
