Etymology edit

From Proto-Basque *(h)aur +‎ *urte +‎ *-n,^[1] equivalent to hau (“this”) +‎ urte (“year”) +‎ -n (“in”), literally “in this year”. The placement of the demonstrative before the noun is unusual.
