Usage notes edit
- The (translingual) family name differs depending on whether one wishes to treat its members as animals (in which case the -idae suffix is used) or something else (when -aceae is used). Thus, and in reflection of the difficulty classifying the family, it is sometimes called Cavosteliaceae.
