chlorophenoxy (plural chlorophenoxies)

  1. A type of chemical compound that contains both a phenol group and one or more chlorine atoms attached to the benzene ring, often used in herbicides.

      The chlorophenoxies have been used extensively for the control of broadleaf weeds in cereal crops, turf, and rangeland.
