      Thus, the ctenotuses that we found have been recorded in sand dune habitat east and north-east of the Field River many kilometres from any riparian or lacustrine habitats, as well as further west in open sand desert habitats, suggesting very limited or no proximity effect of riverine habitat on species' distributions.
