Spanish edit

Etymology edit

From Ancient Greek ἔσχατος (éskhatos, last) +‎ -logía. Coined as an alternative to standard escatología to avoid ambiguity with the sense "scatology." The j is intended as a closer representation of the sound of the Greek letter chi in ἔσχατος.

Pronunciation edit

  • IPA(key): /esxatoloˈxia/ [es.xa.t̪o.loˈxi.a]
  • Rhymes: -ia
  • Syllabification: es‧ja‧to‧lo‧gí‧a
