  1. An adult digenetic trematode with a portion of its ventral surface modified to be a complex adhesive organ.
  2. (conchology, obsolete) Any of the division Holostomata of gastropods.
  3. (ichthyology, obsolete) Any of the suborder Helostomi of eel-like fish.
