  1. (nonstandard) Rare form of hypothesize.
    • 1903, The British Journal of Radiology, volumes 8-9, page 275:
      The atomic theory hypotheticates a limit atmospheres about their nuclei.
    • 1905, Herbert George Wells, chapter 7, in A Modern Utopia:
      "These are the mere translation of the social facts we have hypotheticated into the language of costume."
