Etymology edit

Inherited from Ottoman Turkish اهمالكار (ihmālkâr, negligent, careless), from اهمال (ihmāl, neglect, negligence),[1] morphologically Arabic إِهْمَال (ʔihmāl) +‎ Persian کار (kâr), verbal noun of أَهْمَلَ (ʔahmala, to neglect),[2] equivalent to ihmal +‎ -kâr.
